Using X-Rays to provide the best care

X-rays have been used by chiropractors ever since their inception, they are an invaluable tool for chiropractors to assist in understanding your problem, how best to assist you and most importantly make sure that it’s safe to provide you with care or if we need to refer you for more specialized medical care.

X-ray’s allow us to look at changes in your spinal curve, like scoliosis, that may be causing your pain. Importantly xrays also lets us observe the degree of changes in your spinal health bought about by poor posture, your job, age or arthritis which also cause pain.

X-rays can be invaluable to see changes in your spine that we can’t determine any other way, these changes may greatly influence your care, such as osteoporosis, old fractures or tumors.

Our chiropractors are trained at university to perform x-rays and most importantly to read them for both medical and chiropractic problems. We are also adept at sitting down and explaining the x-rays and relating that to your problem in a way that you understand.

We perform x-rays onsite with low dose digital x-ray technology, we can however refer you to local radiology centers for x-ray imaging if you prefer. The benefit of taking them onsite is that we can do it on your initial consult and treat you then, without having to refer you out and bring you back for your first treatment on another day
